Why was Prognos®
developed ?
During one of the first Soviet manned flights, the mission was perturbed
due to the illness of one of the crewmembers. The Academy of Sciences
was then given the task to find a way to prevent any possible disturbance
due to health factors during orbital flights.

Under the leadership of Prof. W. Zagriadskij, 400 scientists, medical
doctors and researchers worked during 16 years to offer a concept which
could not only secure the cosmonauts' health but also enable them to envisage
what seemed then impossible, a flight lasting over 200 days to prefigure
the future exploration flights and beat the American competition to first
reach planet Mars.

With the successive Prognos developments, cosmonauts were used to test
their energetic balance to prevent any health dysfunctions. They checked
also the proposed therapies to fight against emerging pathologies. Dr.
Med. Valery Polyakov, controlled himself each day during his 2 record
flights in Mir (240 days in 1988/1989 and 438 days in 1994/1995) and came
out of both of them in perfect health and physical condition, able to
walk alone from the capsule Mir.

Since then, Prognos was tested and used on over 12 millions patients
in the environment of space conquest but also in sport and medical fields.

The German company Medprevent GmbH, holder of Prognos commercial rights,
integrated Prognos electronics to enlarge its potential to a wider population
and during 2000, developed various software supporting the users. Prognos
is used today by over 400 medical and dental practices in Germany, Austria
and Switzerland. During year 2001, Medprevent GmbH integrated Prognos
into a new box thanks to the latest development in electronics miniaturisation,
increased the reading power, simplified and enlarged the software possibilities
and modernised the entire concept.

As from summer of 2001, Crossbeam Group collaborated in the development
and promotion of Prognos commercial concept and is official and exclusive

5000 years ago, Chinese doctors found out that most illnesses come out
of energetic imbalance in human cells. One could therefore think that
when our body is in energetic harmony, we enjoy good health and our cells
are in perfect condition to face inauspicious intrusions.
Each pathology starts up with information of an imbalance in the domain
of our meridians and/or our organs.
Should one be in a position to determine, in advance, the status and position
of the imbalance, one could easily think of being able to influence on
the development of this imbalance and thus prevent any organic prejudice.

How does
Prognos® function ?

|
Prognos is a measuring instrument allowing the
user to easily visualise most parameters of the energetic situation of
the patient's body. Measurements are made on 24 points corresponding to
the terminal point (hands and feet) of 12 meridians.
Results are totally reproducible and presented, immediately on a computer
screen, as graphic displays. Measurements, made by calculating the cutaneous
resistance (in kOhm) are included in a sophisticated software program
integrating algorithms based on over 12 millions previous measures and
the personal data of the patient.
Prognos program visualises energetic blockages on meridians, excess and
loss of energy in organs and gives the opportunity to the therapist to
rapidly take all preventive and corrective actions.
